Ultimate fire pump Mark 1 In the event that a wildfire endangers your home you need a reliable and adequate pump to help protect, in the majority of cases, your most valuable asset.

The fire services recommend that if there is the potentially for your home to be threatened by wildfire then you should have a suitable firefighting pump and accessories available - a water source of approximately 22,000 litres is also recommended.

 

The Mark 1 Pump with a 6.5hp motor connected to a 630L/min single stage pump will provide enough water and pressure for the following:

 

12 high flow low pressure Sprinkler heads; and

Two Hose Reels; or

Two 25mm Layflat Firefighting Hose with nozzle (in Place of the hose reels); or

One 38mm Layflat firefighting hose with nozzle (in place of the hose reels)

 

 

There are a number of varibles that will effect the efficiency of the pump, like distance from pump to house (friction loss explained ????? )

Firefighting is not an easy task but you will find it safer with the right equipment and assessories. You will need a firefighting nozzle that can provide a straight jet of water for maximum distance between you and the fire with the option of a fog pattern. This fog pattern will help provide you with some protection from radiant heat if you find yourself being over run by a fire.

 

This is a tactic that firefighters use during both structural and wildfire operations. We recommend that you also try to use solid structures as protection from radiant heat when fighting a wildfire. Your safety is paramount.
